I wish some of the powers that be, in the steel guitar world, would think about the MANY enthusiasts outside the USA, and announce events like this one below a little LOUDER and sooner.

Quote:
Here's a great week you should know about. Bobby Ingano and Doug Smith are conducting a week long Hawaiian Steel Guitar seminar at the Augusta Heritage Festival the week of July 10th.

There could have been up to twenty people from the UK that would have gone, (Had we known in advance)
Instead, we're all going here :- http://www.hulafestival.de/english/start.htm

I don't know Basil, I love Bobby Ingano like a brother, but those Bavarian Hula girls look a lot nicer than he does.

I guess I watched too much Hogan's Heros as a kid.

BTW - Doug did mention the Augusta weekend last January, not that loudly, but he did announce it. http://steelguitarforum.com/Forum2/HTML/006334.html
