Ronnie, The Rittenberry is a great Steel and Gary Rittenberry is a great Guy. Ready to help you with any problems and parts ect. Gary builds his steels one at a time by hand. You won't go wrong with a Rittenberry. The Fessy is also a good steel but some one else will have tell you about them for I know nothing about them. Hope this helps.

Personal taste. Regardless of the brand, a player has to readjust to a different guitar each time. I'd just as soon play one as the other but I'm a Fessy dealer, so there you go.

I own two Fessendens, and for my taste, they are one of the finest guitars built. Jerry is a terrific guy to deal with, and has always gone out of his way to do right by me. Great tone, super playability, and keeps in tune. Can't go wrong with one of Jerry's guitars, but like others have said, it's all a matter of taste that is up to the individual.
