I just got a job at O'hare as an A&P, but I won't be there til late June. I listened to the Mullens on your youtube site. It sounds great. How long did you wait for it?

Hey man, I know that once you reach class A airspace you are using 29.92. But until you get up to that altitude, do you adjust your altimeter manually as you make your way up?
Thanks in advance,

When you read constant pressure charts, the closer together the contours are the greater the pressure change over a shorter distance. Weather reporting stations along your route are reporting to ATC and relaying info to pilots inflight below FL180. When reaching a terminal area the VHF broadacasts, ie :ATIS,ASOS,AWOS etc report local station pressure.During VFR conditions this is not real critical however when the visbilty/ceilings are low during an approach they are very critical for determining how high you are in relation to the surface/terrain. Most late model aircraft have a radar altimiter as a secondary means of detemining closure rates..However these are being replaced with the TAWS, EGPWS system (Terrain Avoidance Warning Sysytem, Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning)..Clear that up? _________________ ARTIST RELATIONS: MSA GUITARS

I had the distinct pleasure of getting to visit with TC Furlong, a forum member, steel player, here in Waukegan IL today. He came by to see and play the great new Mullen G2. He brought his own custom amps and preamp/processor, and his 64 D10PP. He is an extremely articulate player, and collector of steel guitars. He spent the better part of 3 hours playing, comparing, and discussing the differences in the 2 guitars...Im gonna let him give you his take on the guitar..(hope he sees this and replies)...All positive!
TC, thanks for sharing some time today. I really enjoyed the visit and hearing you play. Mickey _________________ ARTIST RELATIONS: MSA GUITARS

First let me say what a pleasure it was to meet a kindred spirit in the world of steel guitar. For those who don't know him, Mickey Adams is a really nice guy and a very fine player. We put the D-10 Mullen G2 through it's paces and man what a wonderful steel guitar that is. I mean whoa! I have never owned a Mullen but maybe I should have. This G2 is quite excellent.
And we both learned a little bit about amplifiers too!
Thanks again to Mickey for sharing his afternoon and letting me check out his superb new steel guitar.
So keep your eye on the forum for a chance to visit with Mickey if he comes to your area with his generous offer to let you check out his steel.
