Gents,

I had the pleasure of quiting work early on Friday and taking perhaps the most beautiful seanic path up to the moutian haven of Payson, Arizona. This splendid journey up and back was punctuate with a pleasent stop at Buffalo's bar and grill, where none other than Fred Justice was playing with a one Cody (last name not provided by him) and his his band mates who ripped out some alt. country with such flavor and flair that most any old hardcore honky tonk fan would defiantely indulge. Needless to say, Fred's spectacular performance, playing a very adaptive and veristile lead and accompaniment complimented this unique and enteraining trio. A true pleasure and an absolute blast at the Buffalo was had. I was so tickled that I did a little two stepping out on the dance floor myself accompanied by one of the finest that Payson has to offer. I would highly recommend this as a must see for anyone from the area and any wayward travelers passing through the area. Any steel player master or novice should see without doubt.

Good grief Matt. Fred already has a head so big it won't grow hair and then you just go and add fuel to the flame. We really won't be able to live with him now.

Fred was playing a Rains and from my professional opinion he had just recently waxed his head!!!

The Rains was a pretty machine no doubt.

Hey ya all, just now seen this, Matt it was a pleasure to meet you buddy, I'm glad you had a good time.
The music was loud but good, called alt. country but the closest thing to rock & roll as you can get without calling it that.
But then again, I like to play all kinds of music and I enjoyed myself.
I play with several different bands around the area, all playing different types of music, that way the challenge stays fresh and interesting.
Matt, thanks for the visit pal, keep in touch.

Gee, seven or eight years back, I used to deliver "Tom's Foods" (potato chips outta Fresno) to Globe AZ every week. Wish I'da known you were around Fred! A'course, it was usually 3 or 4 AM when I used to sneak the 18 wheeler "downtown"....

One of these days,

Dennis

Truckers helpful hint: There is one heckuva low overpass in Globe. Be sure to NOT try and go under at 13'6"!!!! (Luckily I never did...) Wink Seems to me I remember a cool old steam loco parked in Globe too...

Dennis you have a great memory son, the low underpass and the old steam locomotive are still here.
Not much has changed around Globe in the last 10 years.
Like lots of other small down town area's, lots of old empty building's, but its home.
Only one club with live rock & roll music, and they use road groups. No Country gigs left at all. Crying or Very sad
So now you know why I have to drive to places like Payson or Mesa, I have to export myself if I want to keep playing at all.

The first time you see Fred play, you'll be surprised that he's playing a single neck ten string guitar. He really gets a lot out of it, great picker and a good guy.
