Seriously... the person that came up with that do re mi fa so la ti do should have been lynched as it has no relation to anything I have ever learned in music. What the hell is a do with a flat 5, raise 9?

Jim Bob I think time lynched that old "fa so la" stuff.
My Grandfather used to read and sing shape notes (a triangle for "do" a square for "la" etc.) they referred to it as "fa so la" singing.
My Father Bo Legg sometimes sings old country songs in "fa so la". I told him he ought to do it on the stage, It's really funny.
