I'm looking for a good Overdrive pedal, for 6-string. Something like my old Blues Driver, the Fulltone Fulldrive---I just wanna push my amp harder, NOT into heavy metal territory!
Thanks in advance!!

Try a brand new Barber LTD Silver. This is exceptionally smooth and reasonablly priced, for a boutique overdrive. These are about $135 new.

I like the Sparkle Drive by Voodoo labs. It lets you mix back in some of the clean signal.

Yeah, Bill, I've tried a Sparkle Drive---I've already got a Voodoo Lab tremelo pedal, and I like it OK. Stuff seems well-made, with true by-pass. Think I'll try to find a Sparkle Drive around here.

The Fulltone OCD is really nice. It's by far the most touch-sensitive overdrive I've played, and it doesn't cut the highs and lows like most OD pedals do. In the 'Fender' setting, with the gain low, you can barely tell it's on while playing softly, and if you dig in, it breaks up in a really amp-like manner.

Highly recommended.

Hey, Steven, you might be surprised with the digitech Bad Monkey. I got one on ebay for $15, but I think they're only $40 new. Surprisingly good OD pedal. On tele I like it about as well as my Keely modded blues driver.
