How do I Reverse my "A" & "C" Pedals on my my Carter S-10.
I Can't believe how far away the "D"Lever is from Pedal
"A". My leg is almost on a 45 when I engage the D Then A.

I seem to recall that there's an angle bracket that you have to unscrew and slip aside so that you can remove the cross shafts and swap them out, A for C.
Bear in mind that you may want to swap the E raise and E lower shafts that correspond with the pedals (altho that's not how Day used them. See here
http://b0b.com/tunings/stars.html#E9jd
for his actual setup).

I did this swap to see if I'd prefer Day style, which I did, but I put the shafts back when I sold the guitar. It seems that it played a little better with its stock configuration, due to the lack of pedal travel adjustment.
Note that one of the bracket screws acts as a stop for the E lever and must be put back at the proper height for the stop to work.

Donald, I am so embarassed! I don't know what I had in my eyes yesterday morning when I thought 'S-10' read 'Starter.' You are probably still wondering what the heck I was talking about as the underside of your guitar looks nothing like what I was describing! Embarassed

You need only move the bellcranks and rods on A and C. Just write down the connections at the cranks and changer before you switch.

I hate having to make public apologies, but sometimes its better to confirm that one is stupid rather than leaving the forum at large to wonder.
Now we all know. Embarassed Embarassed
I'll be more careful in the future.

Have you tried adjusting the angle of the lever to be closer to your leg?
