The Georgia Steel Guitar Association’s next PeachJam will be held June 24th in Atlanta, GA at the Yarab Shrine Temple. We will be announcing a full program of local and regional players in the coming days.

The theme of this event is going to be a fundraiser for our members and friends, Larry and Yvonne Moore. Larry is the President of our group and most of you know that Yvonne, “The Jewelry Lady” is facing a tremendous health battle. We want to help with some of the expenses they are incurring and make possible her trip to the Oklahoma treatment center.

We plan on having a number of great raffles and know we can count on the steel guitar family to contribute items for this cause. And we hope that everyone in the area will attend.

Plan on coming out for a great day of music, fellowship, and support for our friends, the Moore’s.

Details on players and other information to follow soon.

Please keep Larry and Yvonne in your thoughts and prayers.

As a fund rasiing effort for our good friends Larry & Yvonne,... and to have some FUN, we will be doing a raffle at $10 per ticket. I have a few donations already,...sets of strings, some bars, a T-shirt, etc. BUT WE NEED MORE!!!! I'd love to get a surplus of new CD releases from the real pro players in Nashville, Atlanta, and whereever. And even some of your older, previous CDs would be good too! And if you are just someone who'd like to help out, you can donate things like Gift Card from Wal-Mart or Long Horns, etc.!! Anything will be helpful & great and make our raffle a success! Heck, I'll take a NEW MICROWAVE or a NEW BOOM BOX! Here's a suggestion: a good set of head phones!

My goal is to raise $1000 by selling a minimum of 100 raffle tickets,...hopefully more! I will put together TWO or THREE big boxes of steel guitar stuff, goodies & toys and hopefull each ticket sold will have either 2, 3 or more chances to win !! Maybe you can go to your local music store & solicit some picks or sets of strings for a donation!?!?

Please send/forward your donations to: Whole Note Music Store, 112 Willow Lane, McDOnough, GA 30253 or you can bring your donations the day of the show, but please e-mail me at sgeis2000@netzero.com with what you will be bringing so we will know what we will have available and so we can recognize your generosity. Thanks in advance to those of you that can help, and our compassion & understanding for those of you who would like to, but are unable to.

I will tell you what Yvonne told me: "Whatever you contribute or donate,...my prayer is that it be retuned unto you 100 fold!" Yvonne is one of my most favorite people; and for all he does, Larry is a personal hero of mine. Regards, Steve Geis
