Jamie,

Thanks for your reply. I'll try to make it though I can't promise. It is a ways from Lisboa.

In any case, play great! And it is good to know the steel guitar is being played in Portugal.

Chris,I was in Lisbon last September.
I couldn't find any Country Music while there,
but their "Fado" music is something you should
not miss !
And Lisbon is a marvelous place to visit.
And so are the Portugese.

Thanks John and Frederic,

Yes, I like the city (was here in 1970) and I am having a good time studying the language. Not an easy one, though!

Any specific suggestions for fado?

In fact, I hear (and play)a bit of fado around Providence ara. Many Portuguese live there. I have also been jamming with Cape Verdean musicians, playing electric bass. The whole CV-Brazilian-Angolan-Portuguese music circle is great stuff!

Thanks again for your responses.

Ate depois,

Chris
