Has anyone seen the 1949 vintage tweed case on ebay? It should go to someone here who needs it. Brian

Brian,
I passed this listing on to someone looking for a lap case. Thanks.

Looks more like a mid to late '50's Champ case to me.

Ditto Garry: I have ca '49/50 Custom (triple trapezoid pu's; Roman Numeral fretmarkers) and its tweed case fabric has a different pattern (runs opposite diagonal direction), less color contast in the weave, has NO stitched leather ends and blue interior. Even the case for my 54 Dual Professional has a deep red crushed velvet interior, albeit with the leather ends. So, yeah...orange/tweed/leather: mid-50s to early '60s.
