Auction on eBay.

I told the seller it's the Champ model but he said it says Princeton on it. I thought they looked different. Am I wrong?

You're right Ron.
It's a Champ.
The Princeton looked more like the later K&F and Deluxe models and was made in the 40s.
The blue tolex case was supplied with the White (as in Forrest) model, which as I'm sure you know was a Champ with light blue paint and a plastic pickup/bridge cover.
Here's a pic of my Princeton.

It's a Champ. I don't see anywhere in any of his pictures that it says "Princeton" on the guitar.

Definitely a Champ and closer to sixties I would guess.

It must have been an odd looking person that played it, with two thumbs!!!!!!!

I've just noticed that the tuners don't match either picture that I posted. What's this thing actually worth? The wood can be refinished but the metal looks pretty rough.

Jude, you posted photos of the Princeton and Champion, but not of the Champ, which is the model referenced in the auction. Here's a 1962 Fender Champ for comparison:

The Champion lap steel was made by Fender between 1949 and 1955.
The Champ was made between 1955 and 1981.

This particular guitar in the auction is in poor shape, with extensive finish damage, one non-original knob and one knob missing. The case is in better shape than the guitar! Still it will likely go for far more than it's worth.
