Well guys, i've got a new hero,& that is Ken Fox. I had been hearing about Peavey mods for some time now,& as with alot of things you hear about,I thought it was just a bunch of hype, because Peavey makes a top notch, all around good amp. But my sound had got so bad, I thought my ears had just gone bad on me[both of them].I finaly called Ken, & after one minute, I knew he was trustworthy& also a retired I.B.E.W electrician as I am.I sent him my amp & he had it modded in one day,&on the way back. I pluged it in &WOW, what a sound.I have owned two Webb amps at one time,& believe I cant tell any difference in my now sound.I dont know a lot about electronics, but he replaced over thirty parts. If you want to, or feel you need to up grade your sound, I highly recommend you give him a call. Aint this Forum a wonderful place!

Oh I gotta chime in here too. Thanks Ken for excellent service, above and beyond.
I also apprciate the constant communication, so I always know where my amp is and what's going on with it.
He's done FOUR for me now. (2 TubeFex, 1 LTD and 1 Session 400)

Well, when there is negative things happening sometimes, it's good to accentuate the positive. The Ken Fox experience has been very positive. He did the LTD400 mod for me, did a 2 day turnaround, great job, and great sound as a result... Very Happy

Thanks for the kind words.

After 23 years in Oregon I retired back to the area I left in 1982. It is great to be back home in Georgia and to renew old friendships with so many musician's I knew and worked with in the the 70's and early 80's.

Since retirement a few years ago I started doing local amp repair and the work that I can do for Forum members as a hobby income.

I am doing a lot more local tube amp repair, speaker replacement, guitar setup/repair and limited transistor amp repair. I have also been helping out a local Peavey/Fender dealer (old friends that I worked for in the 1970's and early 80's) with some of their repairs as well. There was no one in the local area doing that work, so it was a welcome relief for a lot of my old friend's here when I opened shop.

Almost daily I am answering questions via email and phone for our Forum member's and local musicians. It is a pleasure to help out with what knowledge I can share with others.

The growth in the amount of work from locals and our fellow Forum member's has simply amazed Ruth and I. It is a wonderful experience to do something that one enjoys so much in one's retirement. We appreciate it so very much.

A search will find numerous posts from me, regarding the terrific work Ken did on my Dual Showman Reverb. That was about 3-4 years ago, and he doesn't hesitate to answer any questions I have about it. Very highly recommended indeed !!!!
