Man, this thing sounds great through my 1950 Fender Pro Amp -- the "teevee" version. I'm using an Alesis Nanoverb on the plate setting to get a little Fender reverb too.

Tunings: The middle neck is a C6th variant. Top neck some sort of E7th and the bottom a B6th. Did I tell you how great this rig sounds? -L-

Are there any books on striaght steel playing? I put most of my time in on an old Emmons D-10. I can rip some licks off the Hank Williams CDs, but there has to be an easier way. Don't get the E7th neck at all. The bottom B6th neck is fat!

String guages? Proper tunings for this guitar? Notes low -- to -- high on all the necks? So much info needed! Maybe there is a site with this info if you know of one.

Thanks!!!

Tom, proper tunings are a matter of individual preference.
10 different players will give you 10 different answers to that question.
I use E7, A6 and high C6 as my main 8 string tunings.
A6 in particular can be easily retuned to get several other useful tunings.
For a list of tunings and appropriate gauges, check out Tunings.

I love those TV Front Pros, I have a 47 and it's awesome.
It was meant to be used with Customs and Dual 8 Pros - Amps
