For 1/4" I would have to say it would be a waste of time and money, for an inch it may be worth it. I wish I had 1/8" or a 1/16" sometimes. I just learn how to work around something that small. Just my thoughts.

Colby,I agree with you...But it would be perfect if the pedals were just that much lower,I was hoping for some kind of extension nut?

Carter sell extender kits in various lengths, which consist of a four threaded tubes for the legs, and rod extenders. You might contact them to ensure that the threads are the same diameter as your machine.

Stu I assume your rods are 10/32" if so you can order rod extenders from one inch to two inch. You can also buy the 10/32 studs all from Grainger.com an industry supplier. I know you only need a little but there are ways to get what you need. They ship everywhere and most is next day. Shoot me and email if you need further assists. I have to add lift kits to every steel I have owned so I can give you some tips.

Glad I could help. Oh it is nice to have a tap and a die 10/32" size to clean threads as need. Your local hardware store should be able order these. PS I just had to special order a 4-40" die to make some new pull rods.
