Ebay, Musicians Friend, Sam Ash Music..
I bought one at Sam Ash about a month ago, paid $95..brought it back.
I returned it because I want all the drum pads available at the same time rather than switching between pads for individual drum sounds.
It is a nice machine and has value for the $$$.
Concerning the power supply, I used an old wallwart 7.5 v unit I had hanging around, all I had to do was reverse the connector so the polarity was correct to match the unit. The unit will say 9v but 7.5 will work just fine.
Also if you buy one be sure to understand the return policy, Sam Ash attempted to re-write an ALL new policy when I returned mine within the 30 day period. They finally caved as the store policy hanging on the wall was totally opposite of what they were trying to jam down my throat.
The MR3B is a nice unit for the $$$ for sure but if you are doing any live tapping using the pads you may have to step up to a unit with more available pads. |
