Its True! I ordered it as a D-8 in 1957 at Shots garage in Madison,Tn. Shot later converted it to a D-9 The original Hooper case is still intact but could use a handle, I've decided to spiff it up & maybe put it up for sale, It could use a set of 24inch 8string Sho-Bud fretboards, I removed the 3 aftermarket knee levers, but have them in a box, they just took away the originality of this classic guitar,If I have the pedal bar buffed, I will need a new Madison, Tn. decal The E-9 is on the back neck, which was the norm back then. The serial # is 003. If anyone is interested in it, we can talk! Trades considered, I may have some pics I took a couple years ago? It has 8 wide floor pedals, Thanks! Al Udeen
