Anyone ever see anything like this? Is this a one of a kind? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2384&item=7323532925&rd=1

I also found this slide made from a gun barrel. You could use them as a set. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=85857&item=7323369030&rd=1

Doesn't look like a lap steel to me.

Looks like a copy of the "Lazer" guitar Johnny Winter plays..

Looks like the Hondo copy of Johnny's guitar. The real ones are made by Erlewine. When someone advertises a guitar like this a a "good slide guitar" I just assume that the neck is totally hosed.

I've always wanted to try one of these as a lap steel but never had one available to me. I bet it would be hard to play just based on how it would sit on your lap.

You could probably put a nut riser on it and have a fine lap steel. The scale is 25.5".
The sound is a little on the trebly side, as you would expect. Comfortable neck. No string beyond bridge or nut makes it easy to bend notes.

PS The last one I noticed on ebay went for $650. It was red, but otherwise similar.
