I talked with Mike on the phone. This guitar is a great Sho-Bud. It does have 4 knee levers. I have decided to pass on it. I thought it was the newer style mechanics with the smaller non-gumby heads. It will make someone a NICE guitar. IT IS STILL FOR SALE!

Hey Neil, you can put new changers and update the keyheads if you order them from John Coop, or he can do them for you.

This guitar is still here?? That's a sweeeet deal, wow. Lord, I wish it could be me buying this beauty........a very desirable model for Sho~Bud. Some players (like me) consider this era of Sho~Bud ('75-'77) to be the best. Easy to maintain, smooth operating mechanism, great sound, great wood. Ah, my heart's in pieces. Sad

I've always heard that this mid to late 70's vintage with the smooth narrow pedals were some of the best Buds made. Before pot metal...
Really sweet price, too.

Yes, Skip, this is the era of my Pro 1 ('76, double-raise/lower), and it's hands down the smoothest, easiest, best-sounding guitar I've owned. I bet this Pro III plays and sounds just as sweet or better.

I can't look at this guitar anymore, or there'll be a high-interest loan taken out tomorrow. Smile

I wanted to get more pics for you guys but had grief getting more in my gallery. The guitar is single lower, double raise, with the narrow but rough pedals. It is a nice playing guitar. Any one interested in more details I will gladly try to answer here or will accept a collect call if serious. A friend of mine is playing in Hayward Wi. Thurs for Marvin Rainwater. Any one in that neck of the woods interested let me know tonight or by 9:00 AM Thursday and I will bring it along. Happy Trails

A bump for ya Mike. I know what ya mean, ya can't keep 'em all!! It's not often these sought after Pro III's even come up for sale. There are lots of wooden necked shobuds, and they are great. But the aluminum necks on the Pro III's are quite unique, and brings out another sweeeeet "tone dimension" in Shobud guitars. And just LOOK at the birdseye figuring in this wood!! What more could you want!! And the older keyheads and teardrop levers is simply one of the best eras for Shobud. Anyone thinking of this guitar needs to quit thinking and JUMP on this beauty before Mike comes to his senses and charges what this guitar SHOULD be priced at! Shocked

Wow! Fabulous birdseye, natural finish, rope inlays, looks like it's in great shape...what's not to like? If I didn't have too many guitars already (and too few dollars)...

Chuck, didn't you have a similar one for sale last year? I recall you had a natural Pro III on your site a while back.
