How is this for compact traveling ?
An Evans RE-200 in a flight case that doubles as a seat , with a compartment for accessories ! The seat cushion travels inside, attaches w. Velcro.
Case closed
Open!

Olli,
Thanks for posting pictures. Did you have the flight case custom built to your dimensions, or is it an off-shelf item? |

Yes , I had the case built to dimensions by a local maker. I was originally going to get just an ordinary flight case for the amp , but when I measured it I realized that the case would be just the right height for a steel seat. So , why not combine the two and have one less item to worry about...
Only 55 lbs with amp , volume pedal ,cords etc.
Maybe about 50 lbs with the original speaker(Deltalite)in the Evans, mine has a Weber California 10" in it now. _________________ Olli Haavisto

That is really nice, but didn't anyone tell you you can't play a steel through a 10" speaker? (There's plenty of forum members who will be glad to tell you.LOL) I like the sound I get from my Evans AE100 with an 8" speaker, and even play some C6th through it. I like those small Evans amps. _________________ Darvin Willhoite
MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, a restored MSA Classic SS, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro. |

Very nice, Olli!
I also have an Evans AE100. I've flown with it in a suitcase, along with my clothes.
That extra 5 pounds has to be lost if you're flying the airlines that I use. They charge extra for over 50 lb.
Probably putting your volume pedal and some accessories in your sutcase would do it. |
