I use a Roc n' Soc throne with a back rest and it's very comfortable and easy to adjust and move around. I don't have the hydraulic base but I think that's more useful if you are playing drums and bouncing around more. The throne is also cool you play guitar a well at the steel and need to swivel to get to another pedal board. For me at least, it's the way to go. Good luck.
