Has anyone here ever played a teardrop (pear-shaped) hawaiian lap steel? I'm curious about how the sound of these differ from a "normal" shaped Weissenborn-style. Thanks for your input. |

Originals are somewhat (and predictably) treble-yer because of the lack of upper reaches for the sound waves to bounce around in. They are true lap guitars because they rotate 90 degrees counterclockwise around your waist if you try to play standing up without a (hypothetical) upper-bass-bout prosthesis. |
