Don't laugh, I have never played with a round bar. I have two Grovy Rajahs, 6 or 7 Stevens and a new Randolph RR2.All of these have finger slots.
Someone gave me a new round bar that plays wonderful, but it keeps slipping out of my hand.
any help or suggestions.
Thanks

When I first started learning to play, dropping the bar was a big worry. I found a little stickyness helped, so I used to chew some gum and moistened my fingers now and then. Hey, it worked!! After a while, the gum wasn't needed. When the hands were too smooth and dry, the bar slipped.

I find that it helps to practice over a carpet, and to keep my other instruments out of range. |

Try eating a couple of barbeque ribs first. |

George M.-- now you listen to G.P. He can play 'em, he can build 'em, and he can teach 'em...that's a full lesson without a wasted word. --Steve |

Thanks,
I spent the day working on all these ideas except the ribs. The bar only slipped out a few times, but I am getting the hang of it.
Thanks again and God bless.
