What is the most common or most popular tuning for a D8's 2nd neck?

I have the 1st neck tuned to C6th.
Bottom -> up ( A C E G A C E G )

I presently have the 2nd neck tuned to E13th ( E G# D F# G# B C# E); however, I seem to have to use a great deal more slants than with the lower neck's C6th. Is this common or am I just pushing this particular tuning too far?

Most of my music is classic country or popular tunes and/or Hawaiian.

Les;
I would remove string #7 (G#) from the E13 and replace it by moving the rest of the strings down and putting a high G# in #1-position. E–D–F#–G#–B–C#–E–G#. In fact that's what I use for my E9/13 Tuning.

John - wouldn't that be
D–E–F#–G#–B–C#–E–G# ? Having the low E and D switched like you listed would be large intervalic gaps would it not? -MJ-
