I am looking for some good quality back up tracks with real instruments (no BIAB). Rather on the slow beach type side... the songs are not of importance, not even the keys. CD or quality mp3's over the net would be fine.

Anybody having some suggestions?

Thanks! ... J-D.

J.D.,

Jerry Byrd made back up tapes of various Hawaiian songs that featured real instruments. I think that those could be had through Scotty in St. Louis.

I have a faint memory that Keoki Lake may have back up tapes with real instruments. He will probably be on shortly to let you know one way or another.

I do not know of any CD's or MP3's made that features Hawaiian music.

Aloha, Smile
Don

Herbie Wallace has some rhythm tracks for 10 Hawaiian tunes but I don't know how they sound.

JD,

You are quite the globe trotter. I thought you were living in Spain. Now you are in the Dominican Republic?

Don and Andy, thank you so much for pointing out the available tapes, but I need good quality sounding digital media. I can't use tapes anymore. Besides, for being the globe trotter Gerald just labeled me Wink it's rather difficult for me right now to order stuff over to the island. It's paradise but a complicated one. So, I would prefer an e-solution.

George Keoki, thank you for offering help, I have just sent you an e-mail.

For those interested: I was born in Switzerland, lived in Gemany, France, Ecuador (both Sierra and later Carter shipped guitars down there), then in the US for 6 years, Spain and now I just start a new life on the Noth Coast of the Domincan Republic.
It's not steel guitars that draged me arround the globe, althou it was one of the atractions coming to the States.
Anyway, it's beautiful here, people are beautiful and I am re-learning to live.
Got a pretty little 12 string non pedal down here, about which I'll tell y'all later, and when I play it, everybody around seems to think I'm crazy... finally I've come to a country where people understand me. Very Happy

Thanks! ... J-D.
