I'm trying to record an instrumental and I'm playing along with a midi drum loop to keep me in check. On playback of the steel track, with the drum track on mute, I can still hear it(drum track), it's just enough that I know it's there. I'm using Cubase SX and a Tascam us-122 interface. The only thing that comes to mind is the audio interface letting the midi track bleed thru?

How loud are your headphones?

Do you have any aux sends to OTHER than your headphones?

Is your reverb send coming back to the steel track in any way?

Digital should have negligable leakage,
so it seems a routing issue.

Thanks for the reply David. It's probably my aux send. Won't be able to try it till tomorrow.
