There couldn't have been too many. I should've jumped on one I saw a few years ago but held back. I like the color and see them on eBay once in a great while. |

Doug, Andy. wow, I have years back seen one of these and wondered why in heck didnt Fender manufacture more of these.Would have been a great seller. I like the covering and especially the contour of the control plate. E Bay?? unbeleivable. I too wonder what that will sell for and will the seller realize what he has there.Thank you Andy and you as well Doug. |

It's my understanding that only a couple of batches were done in blue. The one on Ebay is not a '53 as the seller thinks. It is more likely a '50 or '51. It has a serial earlier than mine and mine has early '51 pots. Many of these have faded to green. |

Derailing the topic a little, did anyone ever find a current manufacturer of this MOTS / pearloid / whatever (or something close), that is willing to sell in small lots? It seems like that would sell well. |
