Tangerine, another Doug Seymour arrangement with some twists of my own. You will need two feet on the pedals in a few places. Uses three common C6th knee levers. Beware the extra drum hit on the end if you have the volume cranked!

Great tune. Thanks for taking the time to write all that down. Nice job of playing it too.
If you were going to add 3 pulls to a C6, would the 3 you use in this tune be the ones you would add or are there others that you find more important?
I bought 3 pull kits at the Dallas show and now need to decide what I need and on what knee lever.
Thanks

Chuck,

Thanks for the encouragement!

Danny,

The 3 knees in this song are the ones I use all the time. This is very basic C6 stuff and there's few songs I can't find the melody parts too with these 3 knee levers. My copedant is listed here:

I have been toying with adding a bottom D to my tuning so that might change my copedant in the future.

I found "Tangerine" was published in 1941 with music by Victor Schertzinger, lyrics by Johnny Mercer.

I've only heard the song once on the Lawrence Welk show. I did not recognize the artist and there was no steel guitar.

Was there a popular re-make of this song in the 70's ?

Is there a well-known recording on pedal steel or is the song just a "standard" ?

(and thanks again Greg and Mickd)

The song is an old standard in which Nat King Cole had a hit with it.

Its on Vol 1 of The Moods Of Maurice Anderson from the late 70's. The only version I have ever heard.

Thanks for the tab Greg. This is one I have been thinking of trying and you've made it a lot easier!!!
