Hi everyone

can anyone tell me what the name of the bottom-most set of springs on the changer (i.e. the ones on top when the guitar is upside down in the case) are called on my 84 Pro 1?

I have a different one on the 7th string F# - so I'm wondering whether they should all be the same - anyone know?

I've seen the animated Carter diagrams on their website (and the undercarraige 'parts map').

The springs I'm talking about are labelled 'return springs' on the Carter parts map.

Can anyone advise me whether this is likely the same for my 84 Pro-1 and where in the United States I might source a new set of these springs from?

Jeremy,

Those are lower return springs on your Sho~Bud. They probably should all be the same type.... If you are not having problems with lowers returning to pitch, it should be OK as is.

Likely sources for replacements are:

John Coop
Cshobud1@wmconnect.com

or Duane Marrs
