I recently got an older 12-string Zumsteel. It plays nice, but the tone sounded a little thin and anemic on the low end. I just installed a True Tone pickup, and the guitar came to life. Now this guitar is honkin'! This guitar has a lot of resonance, and now it's coming through this awesome pickup. The guitar is really flexable with eq changes. I've played it twice now with a band, and at live drummer volume the guitar sounds awesome. Jerry Wallace does great work, the True Tone opened this guitar up. Check it out.
