Very Happy I will soon have the chance to buy a 1977 Emmons push pull. I used to own a black Emmons push pull made in the 60's. I loved the sound. Of course the action of the pedals and knees leave a lot to be desired on the old push pull guitars. I am wondering if the sound quality is worth fighting the action of the pedals and knees? How much does the color affect the price? The guitar has metal necks, 8 floor pedals and 4 knee levers. What is the selling price range of a guitar like this?

Keith, I would just like to let you know that Bobby Bowman can make your push-pull play extremely smooth for a very reasonable cost. Bobby does all my setups, and he can make 'em play darn near like a modern all pull, in terms of how the pedals and levers feel. Smile

IMO, there's just something about these old guitars that make me want to play, especially when they are set up properly.

Keith, have it sent directly to Bobby Bowmen first to be set up. You won't believe how good it plays after he goes through it. Its money well spent.

Albert Johnson in Tallahasee FL just finished my D12 and is now working on my 75 fatback. You might want to compare prices. His work is EXTREMELY professional as well, and very reasonable...email me and I will transfer his phone and email if you like
