I recieved my pre-amp yesterday, MAN, what a difference it makes in tone. Brad has unlocked secrets to getting tone dynamics. The quality of material and workmanship is unsurpassed. I bought this pre-amp without seeing or hearing one, just knew folks that had purchased one and they liked so much. I just wasn't happy with my tone, kept fighting, trying to get 'magic sound'. Well the fight is over, this pre-amp is truly a REVELATION, it has headroom for days,is quiet, powerful, and sounds awesome. Thanx Brad for your knowledge. If anyone questions if "its's worth it", the answer is ABSOLUTELY!! I hope this helps someone that may be trying to improve their sound. ORDER ONE NOW. Thanx, Randy

Rack consists of : Revelation, Stewart 1.2, Lexicon mx200, 2 cabs with B/W 1501-4. I had a different pre-amp and processor before along with this same set-up, but it did NOT hold a candle to the way the REVELATION sounds. I've tried many things, but the ONE THING that made all the difference is the REVELATION. I don't want to 'knock' brands/models, this just works for me. Thanx, Randy

Randy, congrads on the RTP, and after the tubes break in, it gets even sweeter. I've had mine about 5 or 6 weeks now and love the clean, sweet, tube sound it has.

THANX, I dont mean to sound like a salesman, but I could not believe the difference. You can't really find one to try because there are not many out yet. I don't like to borrow anything, should something happen, so I just bought one. AND BOY AM I GLAD I DID!

Well, as for me, great sound will be payment enough. I know Brad is working hard to keep up, almost a 3 week wait, but it's worth the wait.

They're definitely not mass produced. I've had mine about a month and the serial number ends in 057 so I'm guessing it's the 57th one Brad made. I'm still loving mine and I've found that it is pretty amazing for clean six string electric as well as for steel. My only wish is that it had two channels. I'm using a fairly complicated A/B setup in order to switch back and forth between steel and six string but the only drawback is that one EQ and gain setting doesn't cover both instruments. I found a somewhat workable solution to that by using a Boss GE-7 on the 'B' side of the A/B box for six string. The passive, true bypass A/B box lets the the 'A' side (steel) signal feed into the RTP unaltered. So that works but it's not a perfect answer for running two different instruments. For one thing the GE-7s can be kind of noisy.
In the absence of a second channel I guess a person could buy a second RTP but I've got nothing left to sell off to raise the funds. Confused

I was joking around Randy, i'm sure Brad had to smile at the least. We are VERY LUCKY that we have guys like Brad that comes up with such great gear for us. I love the RTP, and you could'nt find a better guy to build them than Brad.

I'm in total agreement - this is the best piece of kit I have ever owned in nearly 30 years of playing. It was worth every penny I paid for it. I've had mine since picking it up at Dallas last year.

I finally had the opportunity to try Brad's "Revelation" unit at my friend Mark Tulbert's home yesterday. We played his Zum Hybrid and my Rains -- both with BL-710 pickups -- through the unit and the tone on both guitars was outstanding.

The most impressive to me was the 'silky' highs and gutsy lows. String separtion is excellent on both guitars but the Revelation was the icing on the cake for both the Rains and Zum's tone.

By the way, Brad was soooo kind to put a unit in the RAINS booth at the TSGC in March. Wonderful sounding unit...now I'm on a quest to save my $$'s to buy one...(I'm taking donations - HA HA). Brad Sarno is one great person and builder of super electronic units!

I had a chance yesterday evening to visit with my friend Randy Blackwell who just got his new Revelation Preamp. The minute I sat down with his guitar, WOW, what a sound. I was amazed at how this unit sounds. After adjusting the various levels, I found that you can tweak your tone in any form or fashion. The lows are crisp and full, and highs are clean but not thin. Another thing that I really liked is the ability to adjust one setting without affecting the other. (highs not affecting lows). In addition, this unit, coupled with the Lexicon and Stewart Power Amp, is the right combination. It is crisp, clean, powerful, and easy to set. It is loaded with features. I play with an Evans Preamp and this is the best tone that I have heard with a different Preamp. Hats off to Mr. Sarno for a great product in which a great deal of thought has gone into. In my opinion, this is what we as Steel Guitarists have been looking for. I am going to get one myself. I highly recommend this Preamp and I am sold on it. Randy's tone is unbeatable. Great job Brad on a great product.

Randy Blackwell just came by with his Revelation pre-amp and I got to really try it out and I was thrilled with how great it sounded with my steel. I just came back from Siloam Springs , Ark show and Jerry Newberry and Austin Stewart were both using the Revelation pre-amps and their sound was the best I've heard . Brad has absolutely got a winner for sure. Buck Grantham
