I would like to have something other than a portable cassette recorder to record live gigs. Convience is the important thing, not sound quality, since I will be using it primarily for practice. I am not up on the latest. Is there a fairly small CD recorder, Mini Disc, Hard Drive, etc.? |

George, Sharp and Sony both have a great mini CD recorder/player. Runs on batteries or adapter.

I have a Roland Edirol R-09 flash recorder that I'm very happy with. _________________ Lynn Oliver

An ILO at wall mart, $68,00, I gig. will take a 1 gig edxternal SD Card, extra, I recorded. Saluda, Bluntstown without downloadig till after I recorded Montgomery show last yesr.
You can stop after each song or lay it on a table, ect, and it will record all day, has built in mic. FM radio, wrist band to attch to you arm. It has a case that fits on the back around it and can be slid on your belt just lihe a cell phone or tape measure.
I have owned 3, loaned Jack
goodson 1 to see if he likes it.

Check out the Zoom H4. This is a small portable recorder that uses an SD memory card. It's actually "high fidelity" as it will record as wav or MP3. Has two built in mic's. It also has two XLR and 1/4" inputs for mic's or guitars and allows you to record (play along) with a track and record your guitar at the same time.
There was a long discussion about these in the Recording section. |
