I have just purchased an old red triple neck steel guitar. The three necks are graduated. I believe the instrument to be a Fender. One of the necks is complete and I believe most of the parts are there to put together the rest of the two necks. It orginally had three legs but someone has converted it to a four leg. Can anyone tell me about when this guitar was made? It is a triple 8 string.
Thanks,

Dave, it's hard to tell without lookin at it but if it's a Fender Stringmaster you can pull the tuner pans and find a penciled date in the cavity under one of them. If you can, post some pics so we can have a look. |

Dave, had a second thought. You say it originally had three legs and now has four, it might be a Fender Custom Triple 8 if it looks like this.

If it's that one, that thread should probably be moved over to the "Steel without pedals" section... |
