I've run a Boss DD-3 in the pre EQ patch on my NV112 and NV400. However, when I turn the pre gain up past about 3, I hear some clipping start. With the pedal out of the patch, the amp is fine up to about twice that level (both gain wise and volume wise). I know that most stomp boxes are designed for instrument level outs, so this led me to wonder: is the Pre EQ Patch on a Nashville 112 at instrument level or line level? Is there something else that could be causing this distortion?

Thanks,
Jonathan

I believe that the pre-EQ patch is designed more for use with volume pedals, the post patch is for effects. Also, you may want to check your output level setting on the DD-3.
