Jim.
Here's a couple things I got searching the old forum using http://steelguitarforum.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?action=intro
And a couple I found there here:http://steelguitarforum.com/Forum11/HTML/006540.html
and Here: http://steelguitarforum.com/Forum11/HTML/004534.html
The tele ones I use on my tele now are similar with more treble, less verb and compression. (Note) when I play tele, I use the Xtlive Volume Pedal, which the onboard compressor works with. With the Podxt you'd have to cue it in at whatever volume you are going to use live, because as you know, the compressor works best before the volume pedal. (It does on the XtLive, but not the xt.)
Hope that helps.
I've changed my settings some over the last year or so, and the advice I can tender is to save your settings every time you tweak your main channel and either overwrite it, or simply find a closeby channel.
As I've said, most of those crazy setups, you won't be using, like "Cliffs of Dover" or "Purple Haze", so overwrite them. If you want to change it all back you can easily restore everything to the way it came from the factory.
Gotta run. Long day at the salt mines... |

Eric, thanks - that'll give me some stuff to dig into. MY experiments so far are OK, but a bit "buzzy" sounding. The one thing I DO know is 90% of the prsets are completely disposable, and usually overeffected on all these types of units to show off the capabilities.
Thanks for the help! _________________ No chops, but great tone

JS/. I haven't had the "buzzy" thing become much of a problem with taking care not to overdrive things too much, and the 2.0 Pod seemed to buzz more I'm told. Also there's a little message on the screen when you're overamping it. I think it says "clipping" or some such. I'd have to check. The xtLive uses the main output control as a VP, and I haven't fooled with my xt for a while.
The Noise gate on mine gets a lot of use when live.
Sorry, but it's been a really slammed week.
Besides participating in a slick new "marketing program" for a psg manufacturer in a kind of "focus group"...
