For you Curly Chalker fans, yesterday I recieved my copy of the CD titled "4 Giants of Swing." I had it originally on LP when it first came out. I had forgot how great it sounded.
This was originally recorded for the Flying Fish label about 1977-78. You can order the CD from Amazon.com and it's really great. It features Curly Chalker on Jazzy Steel, along with Eldon Shamblin Western Swing Guitar Giant, Jethro Burns world claimed Jazz Mandolin player, and Joe Venuti world acclaimed Jazz Violinist. All of these great musicians are gone now but the CD was not very expensive and is just fabulous!

Joe,
This cd titled "4 Giants of Swing," is available through Amazon.com website. It features 4 Giant Swing Jazz Players: Curly, Joe Venuti, Jethro Burns, and Eldon Shamblin. It is Great! Curly is featured a bunch on rides through the CD as ohers are too. The backup players were apparently session jazz players in Chicago.
