Looking for one that's in excellent condition. I don't think the new George L will work with my guitar. I'm losing volume on my first 3 strings!

How many contacts (2, 3 or 4)?

Not sure. I'll check it out tonight. If I remember correctly, the contact-side (bottom) of the pick up slides in and the actual contacts are not very noticable.

They are silver-colored contact dots on the bottom of the pickup, matched to spring-loaded contacts on the pickup mounting bracket.

All of my pickups are the 2-contact variety, except for a Danny Shields pickup that I won't sell. You might have to rewire your guitar to get them to work. Let me know if you want to try one, and I'll mail it to you.

I'm not sure if I want to get into rewiring my guitar myself. It would be nice to try it though. How much do you want for it? I'd take down to Scotty's and ask Don to help me out.

My Sierra is wired for 3 wire pickups , but the 2 wire pickups work fine it it ....They just use 2 of the contacts on the steel rather than 3 that are needed for the additional tones from 3 wire pickups ..

b0b, maybe yours is wired differently than mine ???

If that's the case, sure. Bob, or James, just name your price(s), and we can go from there! It sure would be nice to have a choice of pickups on hand. Thanks. Fred
