| The bandleader called me and wants to do an old Gary Stewart tune "She's Acting Single, I'm Drinking Doubles. Can anyone remember the entro? Seem like it was a scale run. Can't remember. Anyone remember?. Thanks ,Jody. |

Jody,
After you listen to the mp3, which sounds like it't in F; start at the 6th fret with string 5 and string 8 lowered. It should be pretty straightforward from there. Those two strings thru the whole intro. You'll end up at the 20th fret.

Before Youtube pulled all the Gary Stewart, I collected that song. So if you have a flash movie player I can even send you the vid of the steeler playing that lick on his Emmons. I love me some Gary Stewart

Thats a new one on me. Why did they pull his stuff.
He's not the greatest singer but his music was the best. A close friend wrote Whiskey Trip.
I listen to him about every nite when i go to bed. |

There are still a couple of vid's on there, people keep adding now and then, but they are piano duets with Micky Gilley.
Jody,
If you want to spice up the song, play it the way Steve Palousek does on Live @ Billy Bobs, he elegantly and respectfully embellishes, the whole band does. Don't let your band leader hear that version, or that's what he'll want! |

SP's playing on this CD is great and has really been an influence on me lately.
We are getting ready to cut this track as a band demo in a few weeks, I'll share it once it's completed. This one has become one of our favorites to play...
