I'm psyched for you. I really admire the engineering that went into the stand with the pin-in-hole concept (looks like how my Pod fits on its bracket) and that stand-up gut rest attachment thingy. Do you intend to strap it on or go with the lap and/or stand? |

Bill told me he ordered the walker stand with the optional shopping basket. And hey, that hernia support comes in real handy also!
It looks great Bill. It sounded great also in Dallas.[This message was edited by HowardR on 19 April 2005 at 02:34 PM.] |

As a Dobro player I plan on Strapping!!
I like to roam free. I never could get used to playing on a stand. |

BTW, Howard.
I'll be strapping by your place soon to show it off. Get the staff prepared.
Typical visit to Howards:
"Hi,is Howard in."
Blank looks as if to say, never heard of him.
"I don't think so. He may be at the 'other' office."
"Okay, where is the other office."
"Oh, I'm going there, I'll tell him you are here. What is your name."
Some one runs out the front door.
Minutes later someone appears from the back.
"Howard called. He will be down in a minute."
And then a minute later, Howard appears out of the back of the store.
Howard, you must have underground tunnels all over the city!! |

Pretty classy designs. Seems they really thought out the stand and that secret extend-o-bar.
What would be the ballpark price, +/- $100, on a bare-bones 8-string MSA (no stand, no freedom bar)? |

Dwayne....Thank you for your question and interest concerning the new SuperSlide.
If all goes well, the prices of the SuperSlide and all accessories will be posted on the MSA website tomorrow.
An 8 string in any color shown on our website sells for $1295.00, and that includes a soft case. We only require a $200.00 deposit and the balance upon completion.
I welcome any other questions you or anyone else may have, and again thank you for your interest. |

Bill, if you come down with the SS, let me know. I'll bring in something, maybe a Sierra or another, and we can compare.
We are in a great time of custom, quality builders who are "raising the bar" with regard to steels/resonators etc.....
At the Dallas Show I was very impressed with the both the Super Slides and Beard resonators. It took A LOT of restraint.....along with a long cold shower.
Lead me not to temptation..... I can find the way myself

Beautiful guitar. Congratulations.
What tuning did you settle on, or are you still experimenting? |

Currently it has Reece's 12 string tuning. You can get my review by looking at the MSA Superslide Review post I made. |
