This book is a must for all country music fans. I could not put it down until I finished reading all the way through. It is a no holds barred story of the life of Johnny Bush, told in his own words, from his humble beginings to the legendary status he enjoys at this time. The pictures are priceless. You have to get this book. Jody. |

Same here! I started reading Johnny's book Sunday evening and have had to force myself to lay it down to do other things. I'll probably finish it this evening. Great book - loaded with interesting facts and opinions. It makes you realize the talent and determination of this man!

Hey Jody:
How do we go about getting a copy?? Johnny Bush is one of my all time favorites. I had the pleasure of backing him up once at a show in Houston while I was working for Gene. It was the late 70s if I recall.
A super guy, Johnny Bush. I want a copy of his book for sure. Guess I'll do some internet research.
Sincerely,
Chris "Tiny" Olson |

When I read a book I judge how good it is by how much it causes me to visualize and think. Also, if I have a desire to re-read it to try and obtain some things I missed in the first reading. This book is so good and packed full of so much information that it is at the top of my "re-read" list.
For those who are not as familair with Johnny Bush as they'd like to be; it is the perfect way to learn about him, his music, and the admirable faith and determination of this fine entertainer. The formative years of the country music industry was built upon the backs of dedicated singers/musicians like Johnny Bush....for which they received very little financial security or reward when compared to a long list of less deserving individuals.

P.S. As an added bonus it is quite obvious while reading this book that Johnny Bush loves steel guitar and reveals some interesting stories about a few of our instrument's well known players. |
