Here is a nice old standard on the Leavitt tuning.
Ian Mclatchie sent me the arrangement for six
string and I modified it for 8 string and it is non pedal. My strings are as follows:
B--D--C--Bb--G--E--C#--E High to low
All I did was add one string on top and one on the bass end.
I like these notes for the extension as they add a little to and take away nothing. In my opinion anyway. I am sure there are other
ways that work.
My timeing on this is rather Ad-Hoc as it is a solo and I can ride easy when I have to.

So sweet tune, Roy! You are playing 8 string on Leavitt tuning? Adding two extra strings sounds very very difficult for me. After practicing 6 string on Leavitt, I still need a headache medicine, but I am trying anyway.
