Hello,

My Name is Jacek, some folks call me Jack. I live in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. I was born in Poland in
1980.

I read this forum occassionally and thought I'd introduce myself. All your posts here helped me to learn about different steels and decide which one to get.

The Pedal Steel is my favourite instrument.

I got my first steel, a black Carter SD-12U, last summer from Al Brisco's store in Colborne, Ontario, Canada. The Carter sounds great and it's alot of fun to play around with. Just pressing the AB pedals gives me "that sound."

I also sing and play 6-string guitar, a little bit of harmonica, drums, and bass.

Thanks for reading.

Hiya Jack!

Welcome to the party from another newbie who also spends much time mashing the "A&B" pedals for "that sound"....(With the occasional LKR thrown in too!) Mr. Green

Welcome, Jack!
We will have to get together! I live a hop and a skip from you...down the 401, in London. If you search you will be able to find my intro on this forum under Senior Newbie.

I find it very exciting to explore the world of steel. We are all in love with the worlds most fascinating instrument! You mention the AB pedal..yep that's sorta what the basic pedal steel sound is all about. I also believe that this is what gets a person hooked on its sound.

Looking forward to hearing from you and to see the progress you make.
Good Luck!
Bent
