I just recently received and sold my first PERFORMANCE guitar through my steel shop here in Mississippi. This particular guitar was a SD-10 model, 3 & 5, emmons set up, E66 pick up. Red mica. I checked this guitar out from one end to the other, everything on it I either touched or studied. I found this guitar to be as close to the old p/p tone as I have ever found. I was really surprised since I was only playing thru a Session 400 wedge amp with no effects. I'm no fan of the E66 but on this particular guitar, it sounds great. You can easily see that a lot of time and study has been put into building this guitar. I found it be very comfortable and easy to play. I put a new set of SteelMill strings on it and adjusted it to my feel and actually sat and played it for three hours. I'm a dealer for the Performance, Fessenden, Magnum and Carter Starters. I don't think I have to speak for any of these pro models. The quality and craftsmanship that is placed in each one by the builders, speaks for itself. I personally play all 4 of the guitars at different times, I mentioned. As for the Carter Starter, I truly believe it to be the best choice for beginners or anyone wanting to get started back on PSG. With each one of these guitars I mentioned here, a player will get first class SERVICE on any one of them. Email me for more info on any of the brands mentioned here and I'll be glad to answer anything I can. Most of the guitars I order are usually sold before they ever arrive.QUALITY! Thanks
