I found one of these real cheap, and I'm thinking of getting it. It's a rack-mount job and looks to be built like a tank. Everything works, and I believe it's all tube, 60 watts (2 6L6's). Anyone have any experience with these? I've looked and asked around, and the general consensus is that they are pretty cool sleepers, and can push a loud and clean 60 watts. I have a 4-ohm 15" EV-L cab I can hook up to it.
Any comments or personal experiences? |

Years ago I had a Super Amp rack unit. I was playing surf instrumental and it was exceptionally loud, clean when I wanted it a a great guitar amp. Wasn't playing steel then, but can't imagine why, with the right speaker, it wouldn't be great. |

I had the combo version when they first came out. solid state preamp, tube power section. it was a good sounding amp, nice clean channel and even the distortion channel wasn't bad. However, I did have some reliability issues with it. I recall it breaking down two or three times- getting a nasty static on the clean channel when the reverb was up.
Good Luck! |

I had the head version... feh... Didn't keep it long...
It wasn't up to the quality standards of the earlier Fender amps.. sounded generic too.. If its REAL cheap, I might grab it,but they don't bring much on ebay.... bob |
