Cool Collin Wray is playing in Laughlin Nevada on our 10th anniversary March 20th and I would like to find out if Van Coffee is still playing steel for him. I would like to visit with Van if possible, anyone know what Van is up to? Thanks in advance,
Bill Bailey

Hi Bill,
I dont think Van is playing with Colin anymore. The last time I saw Van he was driving bus for a company in Nashville, and just happened to get the trip with Colin, and sat in with him at Ascuaga's on Sat night. This was a couple of years ago. Van does have a website though, But I've forgotten the URL............ By the way, Its been a long time since Sharkey's and sometimes I miss those days, and I always enjoyed your playing

Ironcially, I just spoke with Van this morning and yep, he's driving bus for Hemphill and has been on tour with Montgomery Gentry for several years. Driving jobs are some of the best gigs in Nashville but it's a shame a talented guy like Van can't do as well or better doing what he loves.

Very Happy
Jim,
Good to hear from you again, Yes those Sharkey's Nugget days and nites were something, I hope you are still pickin as much as you want. I went by there a couple of years ago and took my wife and son in to see the old place, man I went into shock, nothing like it used to be, not very friendly people and no $4.99 prime rib, oh well. Mike thanks for your info on Vanno, You all take care,
Bill Bailey
