After a few years of playing in clubs, bars, having the things load up with dust and grime, along with losing skin off your hands: the pickups must start to muffle and lose their tone. How and what do you guys use clean out your pickups.

Since the pickups are magnetic, the amount of dirt or dust on them will not muffle the sound at all. But… you could use an old tooth brush to get into the nooks and crannies.

Time is the culprit. So you can either get Mr. Peabody to fire up the Wayback Machine, or send the pickups to Rick Aeillo for a remag . .
