I've been threatening Jody for awhile now, to come up for a weekend and visit with him.

Good thing the weather was not so good, because we spent the time playing, listening to music, telling stories, and eating pastrami. Jody has a lot of stories and I have a lot of pastrami.

I brought my Steelmaster with me so that Jody could give it a whirl, and also a dobro. Actually a Benoit koa resonater.

I won't go into detail about the weekend here. Y'all will read about it in the JCFSGC newsletter.

So here's some photos.....uh oh.....

Brad, this for you...hope you get a few chuckles out of this. We're thinking of you.

There was entirely too much frivolity going on in those pictures! ....by the way, who was the "uncredited" director and photographer?

Gene, we have Mr. Tripod to thank for the photography. Mr. Self Timer deserves some accolades for allowing us the artistic freedom in which to compose ourselves, and believe me, we needed composure.

Good to "see" you Gene.

Rick, Jody liked the Steelmaster....A LOT!

Nice to see you and Jody enjoying them.

Hey Howard, thanks for the pictures. Good to see a big smile on that pair of yankee faces. Oh I see where it looks like Jody finally found his "JEANS"

Jody was very impressed with the Steelmaster. He liked the tone, the workmanship and the individual neck switches. He also commented on the powerful pickups. George L 66's. The only con was the position of the tone & volume controls.

On Saturday evening, the phone rang. Jody was playing and asked me to get the phone. When I answered, I could tell that the person on the other end was not expecting my voice. They asked for Jody. I asked who was calling. He said "Smiley"

I couldn't think of anything witty to say so I asked "Smiley who?"

Now, I felt stupid. Did I really have to ask Smiley who? This reminds me of a comedy routine about Bozo the Clown.

Do you really need "the Clown?" after his name? Would you mistake him for Bozo the Accountant?

When I told Smiley who I was, he was flabergasted. Ok, a little surprised.

Hope he didn't drop his beer.
