Hey Forumites,
I'm looking for some teaching materials for C6 pedal steel. Can anyone recommend the best videos/books to get started? I'm doing OK on E9, but I really want that C6 sound!
Thanks in advance,
Bryan

No Doubt about it, get Jeff Newmans C6th workshop. This was all I needed to start playing songs in the band. Nothing is hard, just really easy fundamental moves that you have to know.

Bryan,
I just checked the Jeffran Website and they still carry it.
Call Fran at 800 -373-3418 , looks like its $65. I have $100's of dollars of instruction material and I'll say I got the most mileage out of this one. If you can't play or follow simple progressions after this course, forget it, you aint gonna do it. It is definately a must and the easiest to understand what is going on!!!
Now, he has a follow up to this course (C6th and swinging).
This course was okay but I would recommend buying the emmons , jernigan, wallace courses to learn the fancy stuff.
Good luck...I have been there!!!

Howdy, Bryan, when you visiting San Pedro?

I'll second Newman's C6 & Swinging'---I think there's 2 volumes, and they really are top notch helpers in learning C6. I'm not ver advanced on the back neck, but this and Emmons only C6 course are fantastic.
