Can anyone identify the model in this eBay listing? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7313226608&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1
I know it's not a New Yorker or Rocket.
Elite?
Thanks,
Charlie

Hey Charlie, that's a National Dynamic. Looks like, from the headstock logo, a late 60's model when the company was headed south. I had a late 1967 with legs I sold for 450.00 back a few months ago. It has a thin nasal sound in a cool way. Nice sustain, and resonated well. It has it's own sound. You can hear Feddie Roulette play an 8 string version of the dynamic, with trickling delay, you can hear him playing that steel on all his cuts he made.

The serial number indicates it's a 1963 model.

Greg Leisz and David Lindley also do some good work with Dynamics. (I've heard some good sounds coming from Steinar Gregertsen's Dynamic, too.)
