I have been looking for a 22.5 double 8 for a little while. I have seen a few Stringmasters on Ebay and the scale is not put on the description. There is a black one right now and and while I got correspondance with the seller - he never would measure the scale. (which I thought was a little fishy). I was wondering - is there any way to tell the scale through the pictures - like maybe the logo in between to two necks falls on the 9th fret or something?

If anyone would know - I figgure it wold be someone here.

This thread shows how you can tell from a picture. This forum is awesome, isn't it?

This info is also from a previous thread here in the Forum; http://steelguitarforum.com/Forum2/HTML/005875.html

"There is a very easy way to tell the scale length of a Stringmaster just by looking at the fretboard position markers. If there are 4 "dots" past the 24th fret it is a 26" scale. If 3 "dots" then it is a 24.5" scale and 2 "dots" equals 22.5" scale."

Thanks Garry, that thread has the quote I was actually looking for but I got impatient and settled for the other one. I think I'll print that out and put it by my monitor.
